In April of 2023 I was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma in my lower mandible. Who would have thought that my family and I would spend my 27th birthday party shaving off my hair? We had a rough journey and to sum everything up into a small paragraph would be impossible. I will just say this, The majority of people I told I had Ewing Sarcoma had no clue what it was. To be honest, I didn't know what it was either. Not only do I want to bring awareness to this type of cancer, I also want to help families that are impacted by it just like mine was. Throughout my journey there were groups who helped me with gas money, donor bags, and gift cards while it may not seem like much, it meant everything to my family. I want that specifically for sarcoma patients, so they know they are not alone in this fight. When they are lethargic from chemo and have no strength left to do anything but fight for themselves and their families, WE will be there to support them. We will be their voice. So join us in our new journey, the one that will bring peace, hope, and stability to the sarcoma community!

In November of 2023, only 10 days after my 21st Birthday I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in my left ankle. Cancer was definitely not the birthday gift I was expecting. When that doctor said those words Osteosarcoma I had no idea what that was or what it meant. I had never heard that word before let alone Sarcoma. My whole process with cancer was brutal and tiring. I've learned so much throughout this whole journey,. I've gained a passion for advocating for others who are going through the same thing and for their families as well. I know how difficult and stressful the cancer process is and I want to be able to be that person for someone, who I wish I had. No person or family should have to go through this alone and they need people who can speak up and advocate for them. Along this journey we had some amazing people who were willing to help us out along the way. We were supported by transportation reimbursements, prepaid parking at the hospital parking garage and was also shown so much loved by health care professionals dropping of care bags and baskets. I know that we can bring that same love and comfort to those who truly need it through this organization. I hope you all will come with us on this amazing new and exciting journey with us!
